Mat’s a Nan kid. An only child. A loner. So when she meets James and his six-year-old Grace, suddenly her well organised, solo life is blown wide open.

Then they decide to add a baby. But that’s a lot easier said than done. And Mat finds herself in the middle of an
adoption process that forces her to confront her own childhood head on.
